Inside Dylan Thomas' writing shed in Laugharne

Inside Dylan Thomas’ writing shed in Laugharne

Dylan Thomas is probably Wales’ most famous writer and in 2014, the centenary of his birth, I was lucky enough to get private access to view the inside of his writing shed in Laugharne.

Normally you can only peer in from outside.

It was a privilege to see the view that provided inspiration to one of the world’s most celebrated writers and poets.

It’s rumoured that, following a few pints at Brown’s Hotel in the morning where he would daily meet his father to do the Times crossword, Dylan’s wife, Caitlin would lock him in the shed for the rest of the day to ensure that he did some work!
